Liberty Bank, Connecticut’s oldest bank and a chartered community bank headquartered in Middletown, was recently named a Hartford Courant Top Workplace for the seventh straight year. President and CEO, Chandler J. Howard, also took home the gold and received the Leadership Award in the Large Employer category.
Of 600 companies invited, Liberty Bank was one of 60 local companies and organizations to make the list for 2018 and one of 10 large employers. Winners were announced and recognized amongst 600 attendees at the annual Top Workplaces celebration held at the Aqua Turf in Southington on Thursday, September 20. The Bank’s corporate culture built on collaboration across all levels and departments, and focus on gathering employee feedback, contributed to this outcome.
“I cannot even begin to thank our employees enough for these tremendous honors and owe my Leadership Award to all of them because of their continued confidence in me,” stated Chandler J. Howard, Liberty Bank President and CEO.
“For the past 11 years, I have had the distinct honor of working alongside the best colleagues around! I am so proud of our outstanding team and the amazing work they do. Liberty Bankers are at the heart of our decisions and provide insightful ideas to help us constantly improve our services and conduct our business in more meaningful ways. In addition to going the extra mile for our customers, our skilled employees take pride in their jobs and are dedicated to connecting with our communities.
