Forbes, in collaboration with the analytics firm Statista, conducted an independent study of bank customers. They asked more than 25,000 study participants to rate banks across the nation on various criteria including: trustworthiness, digital services, financial advice, branch services and general satisfaction. Only banks receiving the highest ratings were awarded the title “Best-In-State” for 2018. This outstanding honor is a direct reflection of customer opinions and satisfaction toward Liberty Bank in Connecticut.

“I want to say thank you and congratulations to the entire Liberty Bank team; they deserve all the recognition for helping us reach yet another milestone,” stated Chandler J. Howard, Liberty Bank President and CEO.

"This award, along with all the other prestigious honors we’ve received during my nearly 11 years with the Bank, makes me tremendously proud and upholds the sense of pride I feel for our company. Once again, our employees have impressed me with their extraordinary commitment to our more than 250,000 customers, 55 communities across the state and Liberty Bank. I am extremely fortunate to be part of such an outstanding, dedicated team!”

In total, 124 banks and 145 credit unions made the final cut, or 2.4 percent of U.S. financial institutions, for the Forbes 2018 “America’s Best Banks” list. This includes only three banks in Connecticut, Liberty Bank being one of them. Final scores, based on customer feedback, ranged from 40 to 95.4 and Liberty Bank received a great score of 83.79.
