On September 24, it was announced that Liberty Bank is named a Hartford Courant Top Workplace for the ninth consecutive year, as voted on by its teammates through an anonymous survey held in the spring of 2020. Liberty began participating in this employee engagement initiative in 2012.
Each year, more than 600 area companies are invited to participate. In 2020, Liberty Bank was one of 48 companies and organizations in Greater Hartford and Central Connecticut to achieve this high honor. Due to the pandemic, the annual Top Workplaces celebration was held in a virtual setting on Thursday, September 24. Winners in small, medium and large employer categories were announced amongst 500 plus attendees.
“At Liberty, we aim to best serve the unique needs of our customers and communities. This includes developing and cultivating a talented, diverse group of industry leading teammates who provide extraordinary customer service. The Top Workplace Award reaffirms this commitment and is always one of our proudest achievements because it’s voted on by our teammates. This award also demonstrates our team’s commitment to Connecticut and to being a trusted financial and community partner throughout our region,” stated David W. Glidden, Liberty Bank President and CEO.
“Liberty Bank operates from a position of strength, talent, and opportunity. Despite the current challenges we are all facing, our team continues to focus on the wellbeing of our customers while driving meaningful change in our communities. I am proud to work alongside the most dedicated and passionate teammates and cannot thank them enough for this outstanding accomplishment. As Connecticut’s oldest bank, we look forward to building the community bank of the future with our remarkable, growing team for the next 195+ years.”
This year marked the tenth Hartford Courant Top Workplaces special report on the best companies to work for in Connecticut.
