Liberty Bank Named No. 1 in Retail Banking Customer Satisfaction in New York Tri-State Region by J.D. Power

Liberty Bank is proud to be named No.1 in retail banking customer satisfaction in the New York Tri-State Region by J.D. Power. This distinction is based on the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.

Liberty Bank outperformed 28 other banks in the New York Tri-State Region when it comes to overall satisfaction. The region is comprised of Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

According to the rankings, Liberty also scored highest in the region for the following components of the survey: level of trust, convenience, people (tellers, representatives and call center agents), account offerings and the ability to resolve customer problems.

The J.D. Power study results show what we already know,” said President and CEO David W. Glidden. “Our own surveys also indicate a high level of customer satisfaction. It is something we are extremely proud of. It sets us apart from other banks in our area, and it reaffirms our longstanding commitment to delivering an extraordinary customer experience however way they choose to bank with us.”

Liberty Bank, the fifth oldest bank in the country, is 200 years strong. The J.D. Power rankings show that it is a trusted bank and an important bank partner for many.

“Being ranked No. 1 by a reputable third party like J.D. Power shows that we are leading the way. Our teammates work hard to provide the best possible customer service, and this coveted accolade tells our customers, competitors and community partners that Liberty Bank is a bank of choice that delivers the most satisfying retail banking experience in the New York Tri-State Region,” Glidden said. “And this national recognition came at a perfect time as we celebrate our 200th anniversary in 2025.”
