Opting in. An option you should know about.
When you have an overdraft as result of a debit card or ATM transaction, Liberty Bank may cover the shortfall and approve the transaction, charging you an overdraft fee of $30.00. What's changed? As an existing Liberty Bank checking customer, we need your permission or “opt in” before covering ATM and one-time debit transactions when the funds are not available.
Some financial institutions are simply denying these transactions when the funds are not in the customer’s account. At Liberty Bank, we are giving you the option to choose to have these transactions considered for payment.
