Online & Mobile Banking

Important Steps:

  • Pre-register your password for Liberty Online and Mobile Banking: You will have up until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 to pre-register your Online Banking password. Pre-registering your password will help you transition to Liberty's Online Banking with ease and avoid issues logging in for the first time.  

If you are already a Liberty Bank customer and use Liberty Bank's Online Banking, you do not need to pre-register. You will continue using your existing Liberty Bank username and password and your Simsbury accounts will automatically be added.

  • Welcome Book: Please be sure to read important Online Banking & Bill Pay details in your Welcome Book, which you will receive in the mail. If you are a Bill Pay user, please pay special attention to the Bill Pay section and keep an eye on the mail for a letter from Liberty Bank the week of September 16.

Key Dates

Friday, October 4, 2019

Beginning today, Simsbury Bank’s Bill Pay, POP Money transfers and the ability to Transfer Money with Other Financial Institutions will no longer be available. You will still be able to check your balances, view account history and request immediate transfers between your Simsbury accounts.

Bill Pay users: Any Bill payments that you’ve scheduled with a date of October 4, 2019 to October 11, 2019 will process as normal. Bill payments with a date after October 11, 2019 will be processed by Liberty Bank's Bill Pay vendor. For information about important actions to take and how Bill Pay changes may affect you, please review your Welcome Book and keep an eye on the mail for a letter from Liberty Bank the week of September 16.

Simsbury Bank ATMs will be taken offline starting at 9 am. While Simsbury Bank ATMS are unavailable, please use any ATM (including Liberty Bank ATMs) and we will automatically refund any surcharge fees on your next statement.

Simsbury's Online Banking and Mobile Banking will be unavailable beginning at 5 pm. Please be sure to pre-register for Liberty Bank's Online & Mobile Banking by 5 pm.

Simsburybank.com will be disabled at 5 pm and will redirect to liberty-bank.com.

Telephone Banking will be unavailable starting at 5 pm.

Simsbury Bank branches will be closed at 5 pm and remain closed for the weekend so we may transition your account information to Liberty Bank.

Saturday, October 12 - Sunday, October 13, 2019

While Simsbury Bank ATMS are unavailable, please use any ATM (including Liberty Bank ATMs) and we will automatically refund any surcharge fees on your next statement.

Online Banking and Telephone Banking will still be unavailable.

Monday, October 14, 2019 (Columbus Day)

Your Simsbury Bank Debit Card will be deactivated at 9 am, and you can start using your Liberty Bank Debit Mastercard®.

Former Simsbury Bank ATMS will be available for use as Liberty Bank ATMs.

Online Banking will still be unavailable.

Branches are closed for the Columbus Day Holiday, but our phones are open. Our Customer Service Center is open special hours to help ease the transition, 9 am - 5 pm. at (888) 570-0773. Our agents will have access to your account information beginning today.

LibertyLine, our automated telephone banking line, will be available at (800) 622-6732 for balances, recent transactions and more.

Important Details & FAQ

When and how will Simsbury and Liberty banks unite?

Our full transition to one organization will occur from October 11-14, 2019. More information about important dates.

When will I find out more information about changes that affect me?

Beginning September 11, 2019, all customers will receive a Welcome Book in the mail that contains a personalized account summary of your Liberty Bank account(s) and the details of the transition.

Can I continue to use my Simsbury debit and/or ATM cards?

Yes. You can continue to use your Simsbury debit and/or ATM cards until October 14, 2019. Simsbury cards will be deactivated on October 14, the same day you may begin using your Liberty cards. To activate, please follow the instructions that came with the card.

Will my debit/ATM card number and PIN change?

You will receive a new debit/ATM card with a new card number. Your PIN will stay the same.

Can I keep my current account number(s)?

In most cases your account number(s) will remain the same. You can continue to use your current supply of checks and do not need to order new ones. In the instance that your account number needed to change, we will contact you.

Will my routing number change?

While the bank routing number will change to Liberty’s (211170282), no action is required for any existing automatic deposits or withdrawals you have established.

Can I continue to use my Simsbury Bank checks?

Yes, you can continue to use your current supply of Simsbury Bank checks until March 1, 2020. When you are ready to reorder – any time before that date – just stop by a Liberty Bank office, send a secure message within your Online Banking, or call 888-570-0773 and we’ll take care of your reorder. Your first reorder of standard checks is on us. This includes 80 checks.

Will my account history come over in Online Banking?

For deposit accounts, you will have 16 months of account history available.

For loan accounts, you will have access to payment history for the life of the loan.

Your Simsbury Bank eStatements will not transition to Liberty’s online banking. If you would like to retain Simsbury transaction history, you may wish to download these records from Simsbury online banking before October 11. We are always happy to print copies of your statements in your local branch on or after October 15. If you wish to receive eStatements from Liberty Bank, you will need to re-enroll on or after October 15.

When can I begin to use Liberty Bank ATMs?

Right now! All Simsbury Bank customers can use the Liberty Bank ATM network free of charge. We have 61 ATMs across Connecticut.

While Simsbury ATMs are closed over the weekend of October 11-14, you are free to use any bank’s ATM (including those at Liberty Bank) and we will automatically refund any surcharge fees that may result from those transactions in your next statement. 

What changes can I expect to Bill Pay?

There are several changes to Bill Pay. If you are a Bill Pay user, we highly recommend that you pay close attention to the Bill Pay section of the Welcome Book. This information details what’s changing and how to prepare. Please keep an eye out for additional information on how Bill Pay changes will affect you.

I originate ACH files. What should I know about the transition?

Please do not use a settlement/effective date beyond October 15, 2019. Any transactions with a settlement/effective date beyond will not be processed. Please refer to your Welcome Book for more details.

How do I convert my Quicken/Quickbooks accounts?

To download transaction information into Quicken/Quickbooks, you must deactivate and then reactivate your Quicken/Quickbooks software. Select your Quicken/Quickbooks product and download the instructions.
